Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise's mission is to
send a message to our troops overseas and their families at home that
we care and support them. The objective is to encourage communities and
churches to get involved and to demonstrate their support to the troops
and their families. Their goal is to offer comfort and share the
message of hope and salvation. Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise is
a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to support our troops and
their families at home. For more information or to contact them click here.
Honor the Mothers, a ministry group of Life Church, is an unique outreach effort that provides construction assistance and home improvement services to needy single mothers and widows in our Orange County community. The group values the many selfless sacrifices that single mothers make in raising their children alone and realizes that those seemingly minor “honey-do” maintenance items around the house can often become troublesome issues for these women who are alone in running their households.
Unresolved plumbing leaks that lead to permanent damage, unsafe electrical and lighting situations, roof repairs, rain gutters or dryer vents that need to be cleaned out, drywall repairs or a cracking, peeling paint job can become insurmountable problems for these women that don’t have the assistance of their partner, or the finances to hire somebody to help. Minor problems like a squeaky door or a dripping faucet become immensely annoying and negatively affect their quality of life.
Supplies & Appliances as Needed. We need people who would
be willing to contact local business asking for donated
supplies…paints, caulking, brushes, etc.
Volunteer labor, skilled and unskilled, is needed to accomplish the work.
Sponsors
- All monies raised go directly into our Missions fund to obtain the
necessary paint and building supplies that are not donated. All unused
materials will be stored and used for future projects. It is our goal
to complete 6-12 of these projects annually, depending upon the scope
and size of the projects. If you cannot donate goods or services,
consider becoming a Sponsor by donating $100, $250, $500 or more, so we
may always have enough in our fund to purchase needed materials.
