Orange County Rescue Mission is right in our back
yard, currently ministering to the 35,000 homeless in Orange County.
The Orange County Rescue Mission is a Christian, faith-based,
non-profit organization that exists solely to share the love of God
with the Orange County homeless population. It is their firm conviction
that a vital relationship with God is an indispensable part of the life
change necessary for a full recovery. Please check back for more information on the needs for this year or for more information on the Orange Coutny Rescue Mission click here.
It has been our privilege to partner with Evelyn Komuntale, the founder of Outreach to Africa. Evie is a former African princess from Uganda who has a burden on her heart to minister to the people in her homeland. Current projects are educating orphans, a medical center in Western Uganda and a diagnostic center. Future projects are building a school for orphans, a Vocational Training Institute and their own hospital.
Evie's Outreach to Africa is a non-profit 501(c)3
organization based in Irvine, California USA and also registered as a
non-governmental (NGO) organization in Uganda, East Africa.
What makes Outreach to Africa unique, is that it was started by
Africans for Africans. This personal perspective, along with
international partners, gives us the ability to develop effective,
cultural and community specific solutions to various issues.
Outreach to Africa is a testament to the "difference" a few people can
make if they get a vision and pursue it. We started with two people in
1996, sponsoring AIDS orphans and taking supplies to poor individuals
in Western Uganda. Today, we are holistically touching whole
communities in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
